Chris McManus, Vice President of Sales wanted the UK sales team of both indirect and direct to push further away from the competition and was intrigued by Tactical Sales Training’s approach.
During our time with AVG in the UK, we were able to develop a suitable structure for the sales operation, which, after being tried and tested was rolled out across all UK teams. We drove a massive increase in activity and produced a bespoke training program in conjunction with top members of the organisation which from day 1 saw immediate results beyond anyone's expectations.
We worked with the teams on live prospects during calling sessions intertwined with engaging theory and with just a few simple changes, they were being smarter and more productive within just 2-3 telephone calls. A well balanced blend light on the theory and heavy on the practical was just what was required to achieve (and by far exceed) the targets we had in place.
Following the success in the UK, our services were quickly drawn upon by Mike La Peters and the US AVG sales force. Unsuprisingly, the results were almost identical to our joint achievments with AVG in the UK. A resounding success.
We are pleased to confirm that we now run official partnered sales training programs which increases general sales effectiveness amongst the channel partners.

Focussing hard on the implications of weak qualification and the importance of hard,early qualification, we generated some tremendous results across the whole team leading Ward Goodman to their most succesful Q4 results ever!
It all started when we were asked if we could identify a reason why so many opportunities were being missed. Even one's that looked like sure things on occasion. Although they weren't obvious, the reasons were there. We were able to highlight the problem area's and recommended some very simple ways of being much more effective in both time and performance.
Many of the attendees weren't of sales backgrounds and had no formal sales training. Some of them did sell in their roles, quite regularly, but they didn't regard themselves as 'salespeople'. Which they are. As is often the case, the majority of these people achieved some of the best improvements in our live calling exercises. It's usually because they perhaps didn't think they'd been doing what they would define as 'selling', when in fact they had been for some length of time. That meant when they had formal training they tended to treat it as a skill that was totally new to them when in fact, it really wasn't.
| So many positive changes in our team. More urgency, more directness and honesty about deals that in the past were never going to happen. They spend their time on deals they know will close.
